The Delhi High Court Tuesday issued a notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the plea of 2G case accused Vinod Goenka, challenging the framing of charges against him by a trial court.

Justice M.L. Mehta sought the CBI’s response by March 13.

Goenka, director of Swan Telecom and managing director of DB Realty, challenged the main charge sheet filed by the CBI April 2 along with a supplementary charge sheet of April 25 and the order dated April 20 wherein the special CBI court rejected his bail plea and ordered judicial custody.

Goenka was accused of criminal conspiracy, cheating, abetment of illegal gratification and forgery in the 2G spectrum allocation case.
