Hyderabad, A special court today adjourned till September 23 the hearing on CBI plea seeking further custody of Former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhana Reddy and Managing Director of Ombulapruam Mining Company B V Srinivas Reddy arrested in connection with illegal iron ore mining.

The special court will also hear arguments in connection with the bail petitions of the duo tomorrow.

The CBI, which had interrogated both the accused for six days, presented them before the special court at the Nampally Criminal court complex amid tight security on September 19.

But Judge Naga Murthy Sharma sent them back to judicial custody till October 3 as the petitions of the CBI for extending the CBI custody and also those of the accused for bail could not be taken up for hearing due to an ongoing stirke by pro-telangana lawyers.
