Former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav appeared before a special CBI court in Ranchi in connection with the fodder scam on Friday.

The court had summoned Lalu following the Supreme Court’s order reinstating conspiracy charges against him. The case is related to withdrawal of funds from Deoghar Treasury.

The fodder scam relates to fraudulent withdrawal of 900 crore rupees by the animal husbandry department from various districts when Lalu Prasad was the chief minister of Bihar.

Meanwhile, former Bihar chief minister Jagannath Mishra on Friday again appeared before a special CBI court in connection with the multi-crore fodder scam case. He appeared before the court on Thursday as well in two separate cases related to fraudulent withdrawal of funds from Doranda and Dumka Treasuries.

The court on Thursday granted him bail in both the cases after furnishing private bonds of 1 lakh rupees each in both the cases.
