Prof. V. Balakista Reddy got appointed as the new Registrar of NALSAR University of Law and will be taking charge from 20th of this month as the present Registrar of NALSAR, Prof. Vijender Kumar got appointed as Vice Chancellor of NLU-Assam. Prof. Reddy who is from Mahbubnagar district of Telangana is an expert in Air and Space Laws and he completed his Ph.D. from JNU, Delhi. Prof. Reddy has the unique achievement of co-editing books with his teachers on Air and Space Laws when he was a student in JNU. Prof. Reddy has been contributing a lot to the field of Air and Space Law (including other subjects in international law) by teaching, introducing innovative and value-added courses, publishing, organizing national and international conferences/workshops at the national level and offering advice to the Government of India in matters concerning aerospace law in particular and other international laws in general.
Over the past few years Prof. Reddy has also been working on draft space legislation for India. He also held the position of Proctor of NALSAR university of Law. The center for Air and Space law (CASL) was established in the university under his headship and he is the head of this center even now. He also holds the position of Coordinator of M. K. Nambyar SAARCLAW, where he has organized various National and International Conferences, Workshops and Published Newsletters, Books and Articles in SAARCLAW Field
