The Supreme Court, Delhi High Court and Patiala House courts will remain closed on January 23 in view of the ‘Full Dress Rehearsal’ of Republic Day to be held here.
“It is notified for information of all concerned that High Court of Delhi and Patiala House courts shall observe Friday, the January 23, 2015, as holiday on account of Full Dress Rehearsal of Republic Day, 2015,” a notification issued by High Court registry said. Supreme Court will also remain closed that day on account of local holiday.
The notification, however, said that instead of January 23, February 21 will be the working day for the high court while the Patiala House courts will remain open on February 14. “The cases listed in this court (high court) on January 23, 2015, shall be taken up on January 27, 2015, and the cases fixed before the district courts at Patiala House on January 23, 2015, shall be taken up on second Saturday (February 14),” it said.
However, the high court’s special bench matters listed on January 23, shall now be taken up on January 30, it said. “The cases wherein judgements are reserved for January 23, in the district courts at Patiala House, shall be taken up on January 27,” it said.
