Justice Mohamad Ibrahim Khalifullah was on Monday sworn-in as a judge of the Supreme Court, taking the strength of the apex court to 26 judges.

He was administered the oath of office by Chief Justice SH Kapadia. Before his elevation to the apex court, Justice Khalifullah was chief justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.

The Supreme Court is still five judges short of its sanctioned strength of 31, including the Chief Justice of India.
