Dr. Ambedkar Govt. Law College, Pondicherry, which was started in 1972 is a full-fledged institution imparting legal education at the U.G. & P.G. level and guiding research leading to Doctorate Degree in law. In addition there is a PG diploma course in French Law. It has fairly a good library consisting about 40,000 volumes.
Course Description:
The course of LL.M. Degree shall be of two year duration comprising of four semesters internal assessment marks. Candidate admitted into the LL.M. Degree programme shall register himself with this University or an affiliated College prior to the commencement of the course in the beginning of the academic year after paying the prescribed fee. Mere admission to this programme will provide a candidate the LL.M. degree unless he or she successfully completes all the four semester examinations, as stipulated by the University Authorities.
