Government Law College was established in the year 2007. It is located in Agartala,Tripura. It is affiliated to Tripura University, Agartala. Government Law College offers degrees in Law such as LL.B. The Institute is well equipped with Central Library, Conference Hall, Central Computing Facilities, Auditorium, Internet and Intercom FacilitiesExtra Curricular Activities, Boys and Girls Hostel, Training and Placement Cell, Tutorial Halls. The Faculty of Law is committed to shape a new cadre of legal professionals through a comprehensive and contemporary body of integrated knowledge of law and management and rigorous education and research programs. The Faculty of Law offers five year integrated BBA, LL.B (Hons.) program at the ICFAI University, Tripura. Approvals The Bar Council of India has accorded approval to the Faculty of Law to offer five year, fulltime, campus-based Integrated BBA-LL.B (Hons.) Program . Objectives To provide an opportunity for students to study law as a core area and also pursue an additional area of interest by integrating law with management. To provide cutting edge inputs of specialized knowledge and skills blended with emerging technology to meet the challenges of tomorrow such as environmental protection, intellectual property rights, e-business, cyber law, etc. To impart interdisciplinary knowledge in the light of challenging contemporary business and legal environment. Semester System The ICFAI University, Tripura follows the semester system of education for all its programs. Each academic year consists of two semesters and a summer term. Internal evaluation, mid-semester and end-semester examinations are conducted for each semester. Award of Degree Students who successfully complete the Program will be awarded Degree by the ICFAI University, Tripura, subject to the University regulations. Medals Students scoring the first rank and the second rank on completion of their Program will be awarded Gold and Silver medals respectively. Student Handbook Each student will be supplied with a Student Handbook which contains all the rules and regulations of the respective programs, including detailed curriculum, academic calendar, etc. The Faculty of Law (FoL) encourages the students to acclimatize to the independent thinking and directs them towards creative, holistic and strong domain knowledge with excellent contemporary skill-sets and positive attitudes. FoL has evolved a comprehensive learning approach consisting of several components designed to add significant value to the learner
