University Law College is a constituent college of the Utkal University, first started functioning from University Campus from the academic session 1975-76, as an evening teaching department. The college achieved a glorious record in a very short span of time and became a most sought and preferable institution by the students desirous of pursuing legal education. Shifted in its own premises located at Vani Vihar Square on the side of N.H.-5 within the Utkal University Campus in the year 1996. Now the college is running in morning and day shifts imparting 3 year LL.B. (Hons.) course, 5-year B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M in (Human Rights) course respectively. The college is well connected with road and train services with major cities of state and the country.
The college building stands on AC.2.5 of land and the structure is over 6.200 sqft. There are 11 rooms out of which 7 are class room, 3 are tutorial room, one is senior hall and 1 is committee full fledged hostel is not available some seats have been allotted in the P.G Hostel for the students. There is one library. The capacity of the room is 50. The total book in the library is about 18000. There are 5 multimedia literature. This constitution has scribed five journals. There are 10 Cps in the computer centre of the college for use by the students and teachers having broad band high speed internet connectivity. There are 1 television,1 OHPS, and one VCR.and one Gymnasium with equipments for exercises. The Vani Vihar has provided quarters to the teacher and the Vani Vihar Guest house is provided to the Guest. The University health care centre provides medical facilities.
