ORAL
ORDER

These
appeals are filed under Section 96 of the Code of Civil Procedure,
1908 read with Section 54 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 against
the common judgment and award dated 13th
January 1995 passed by the learned 2nd
Extra Assistnat Civil Judge, Gondal under Section 18 of the said Act
whereby the learned Judge has held that the claimants are entitled to
get additional amount of compensation at the rate of Rs.110 per Are
for Jirayat land and are also entitled to solatium at the rate of 30%
on the additional compensation.

In
all these appeals, the claim involved in less than Rs.1 lakh. It has
been consistent practice of this Court not to enter into the merits
of those appeals wherein the claim in appeal is a pretty claim and
claims up to Rs.1,00,000/- have been quantified by this Court as
petty claims.

No
question of law or principle is urged.

These
appeals are, therefore, summarily dismissed without entering into the
merits of the matter on the ground that they represent a petty claim.
It should not, however, be treated as a precedent.

J.)
