By his letter of 16.4.2009, the appellant had sought information on
04 paras regarding funds given by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports
to the Organizing Committee for Commonwealth Games, Delhi 2010 for
installation of surfaces for competition and training venues and the matters
related therewith. The CPIO had provided information in regard to paras
1&2 vide his letter dated 29.5.2009. As regards paras 3&4, the CPIO had
informed the appellant that even though the Government had declared OC
CWG 2010 a ‘Public Authority’, but this order had been stayed by the
Hon’ble Delhi High Court and the matter was sub-judice and, therefore, no
information could be provided on these paras.
2. Aggrieved with the decision of the CPIO, the appellant had filed the
present appeal.
3. Heard on date 05.01.2010. Appellant not present. The Public
Authority is represented by the officers named above. It is noticed that
information has already been provided regarding paras 1&2 and position
explained in regard to paras 3&4. It is not clear to the Commission as to
what relief, the appellant wishes to seek from it. Further, he is not present
before the Commission to have his say.
DECISION
4. In view of the above, the appeal does not seem to have any merit
and is dismissed.
