By way of this petition the petitioner had challenged the
action of the respondents in not considering him eligible for the post of
Assistant Research Officer/ Assistant District Statistical Officer/Scrutiny
Inspector/Research Assistant. By order dated 8.10.2007 the petitioner was
directed to be interviewed provisionally. On 2.3.2009 learned counsel for
the respondents had produced the final result of the selected candidates as
per which the last selected candidate had secured 48.38% marks whereas
the petitioner had secured 37.57% marks. Since the petitioner had not made
the cut on merit there will be no useful purpose left in determining his
eligibility for the post.
Consequently this petition is dismissed.
