Facts

:

1. The complainant was heard on 10.12.2008.

2. The complainant, a social worker, alleged that the CPIO has not furnished the
required information, which pertain to the activities of a dealer, namely Badayun Gas
Agency, Baburam market, Badayun. He said that due to the malpractices of the said
agency, mainly black-marketing of LPG cylinders, the customers are deprived of the
domestic gas services provided by the respondent. And, due to lax attitude of the
officials of the respondent the registered consumers are harassed by the staff of the
above mentioned dealer. With a view to exposing the extent of corruption in
distribution of LPG cylinders, he pleaded for providing the following information:

i) List of registered consumers.

ii) Rate list and the staff employed by the dealer.

iii) Details of stock of refilled LPG cylinders.

Decision:

3. The petitioner’s plea for providing the above mentioned information is
accepted. The CPIO is therefore directed to ask the Badayun Gas Agency,
Badayun, to furnish the specified information within one month from the date of issue
of this decision. The petitioner would also be free to inspect the relevant records
pertaining to the details of stock of refilled LPG cylinders, registered consumers,
staff, etc. The parties should mutually decide a convenient date and time for
inspection of records within 15 working days from the date of issue of this decision.

4. With these observations, the complaint is disposed of.
