Background
Vide RTI application dated 9.04.2008, Sh. Jawahar Lal, (hereafter called
appellant) sought information on 91 points, regarding his complaint to the Police and the
matters connected therewith. The CPIO provided the information on most of the points
to the appellant. However dissatisfied with the reply of the CPIO, the appellant filed the
First Appeal before the First Appellate Authority (FAA). The FAA upheld the decision
of the CPIO, thereafter the appellant filed second appeal before the Commission.
2. The matter was heard on 9.11.2009.
3. Sh. Gulab Singh was present for the hearing instead of Sh. Jawahar Lal
(appellant).
4. Sh. Parmaditya, Addl. DCP/South-West-cum-PIO and Sh. Satya Parkash,
Sub-Inspector/South-West represented the respondent.
During the hearing the appellant submits that he is not satisfied with the information
provided on point No. 4, 44, 50 & 60 of his application. The respondents submit that
they have no objection in providing information on these points.
Decision
On point 4, the respondents are directed to provide the DD entries related to the
appellant himself. He may also be allowed to inspect the DD entries only related to him
On point 44, complete information may be provided to the appellant, related to his
own case.
On point 50, the respondents are directed to reply to the appellant under the
provision of the RTI Act, 2005.
On point 62, of the respondent are directed to inform the appellant whether any
security arrangements were provided to him or his family members and whether the
security was withdrawn. If there is any order of withdrawal of security, the same may be
supplied to the appellant.
