Background
1. The Appellant filed an RTI request dt.23.5.08 with the CPIO, MTNL.
The Appellant requested for the following information:
i) Whether telephone No.2289370 was installed in the name of
Sharma Man Mohan at the address of 479/1450 Jyoti Nagar East Delhi
– 32 at Jyoti Nursing Home on 4.8.08
ii) Whether a call was made from telephone No.2289370 to mobile
No.9810148555 at 6.31.25 am on 4.8.01
iii) Whether telephone No.2285983 was installed in the name of
Choudhary Mahendra Singh, at the address of D-1450, 1st Floor, Loni
Road, East Jyoti Nagar, Delhi – 32
iv) Whether a call was made from telephone No.2285983 to Mobile
No.9810148555 at 8.25.40 on 4.8.01.
On not receiving any reply, the Appellant filed an appeal dt.14.7.08
with the Appellate Authority. On not receiving any reply, the Appellant
filed a complaint dt.Nil before CIC.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner,
scheduled the hearing on February 4, 2009.
3. Mr. M.P. Singal, GM(OP) and CPIO and Mr. R. Sinha, GM(TY)
represented the Public Authority.
4. The Appellant was not present during the hearing.
Decision
4. The Respondents submitted that the CPIO replied on 2.9.08 enclosing
providing all the information. The Commission noted that the second
appeal was received at CIC on 11.8.08 and that the reply was sent to
the Appellant on 2.9.08 and that the Appellant did not get back with
his comments after that. It is therefore assumed that the Appellant is
satisfied with the reply .
5. The appeal is disposed off.
