On 11/04/2008, this Court had passed an interim order directing the
second respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P7 representation.
Ext.P8 is the resultant order passed by the second respondent. In answer to
the claim raised by the petitioners it is pointed out that, in the light of the
interim order passed in O.P.No.14124/2000 no further action could be taken
and therefore, the matter is closed.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that
O.P.No.14124/2000 and connected cases have been disposed of by
judgment dated 06/01/2009 Ext.P9 is the said judgment. This Court
disposed of the writ petitions with a direction to the Government to see that
all appointments to be made to Offset Presses in Government Presses shall
be strictly in accordance with the draft Special Rules, which have been
forwarded to the P.S.C for concurrence, subject to approval of the Special
Rules.
3. Therefore, the impediment as such, to dispose of Ext.P7
representation has been cleared in view of the final judgment passed by this
Court in the above writ petitions. Therefore, the learned counsel for the

are passed, the petitioners will not be disturbed.
