MR. CHAIRMAN: Now the House will take up item No.39 – ‘Consideration and Passing of Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) Prevention Bill’.

“That the Bill to provide for the prevention and control of the spread of Human Immuno Deficiency Virus (HIV) infection and to provide for specialized medical treatment and social support to and rehabilitation of persons suffering from Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto, be taken into consideration.”
Hon. Chairman, Sir, this is a very important Private Member’s Bill that I have introduced, which is the need of the hour for our nation. I thank hon. Member Shri Vaiko for permitting me to pilot this Bill by giving this opportunity.
This Bill relates to Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome and HIV AIDS.
