Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsels appearing for the respondents.

At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the second respondent Bank had stated that the petitioner could submit a fresh application for the sanctioning of the enhanced educational loan. He had also submitted that on the petitioner submitting such an application, the same would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed, within a period of four weeks, thereafter. He had also placed before this Court a copy of the letter, dated 13.12.2010, issued by the second respondent Bank, which reads as follows:.
“With reference to your letter dated 11.12.10, we have to advise that we will consider/sanction the enhancement in the Educational Loan amount of the applicant and request the applicant to submit fresh application for the enhanced amount to consider accordingly.”
3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that an application for the enhancement of the educational loan had already been submitted to the second respondent Bank, along with the necessary particulars.
4. In view of the said submissions, made by the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties concerned, the second respondent Bank is directed to process the application submitted by the petitioner, for the enhanced educational loan and to pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The writ petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs.
