Facts

:­ 

1. Shri Prem Nath Uppal submitted RTI request dated 
30 July 2010 before the CPIO, The New India Assurance 
Company   Limited,   Kolkata   requesting   for   information 
pertaining   to   the   status   of   his   claim   made   under 
Personal   Accident   Policy   –  enclosed   herewith   as 
Annexure A.

2. The CPIO, vide his order dated 2 September 2010 
provided point wise information. Not being satisfied, 
the   appellant   who   preferred   appeal   dated   31   August 
2010 before the first appellate authority. The matter 
was disposed of vide FAA order dated 3 September 2010 
by upholding the order of the CPIO.

3. Appellant   preferred   second   appeal   before   the 
Commission.   The   matter   was   heard   today   through 
videoconferencing.   Both   parties   were   present   at 
Kolkata and presented arguments.

4. After   hearing   both   parties   the   Commission 
directs   respondent   to   provide   to   the   appellant,   a 
copy of the medical report prepared by the Company’s 
panel   doctor,   namely   Dr   Vineet   Kumar   Mittal   after 
examining the appellant in the year 2006 within seven 
days of receipt of the order.
