FACTS

By his letter of 25/07/2008, the Appellant had requested for information on two
paras, each para having three sub paras therein regarding draw of MIG flats under New
Pattern 1979 Scheme held on 05/07/2002. The Director(Housing) I had provided partial
information to the Appellant under his covering letter dated 18/08/2008. On Appeal, the
appellate Authority, vide order dated 17/09/2008, had informed the Appellant that the
PIO had been advised to provide her requisite information relating to other paras also. It,
however, appears that the requisite information was not provided to the Appellant.
2. Hence, the present Appeal.
3. The matter was heard on 11/05/2009. Shri M.S. Tewari appeared for the
Appellant. The DDA is represented by the officer named above. I have carefully
perused the RTI application and the response of Public Authority in regard thereto. It is
distressing to observe that no serious effort appears to have been made to provide para-
wise information to the Appellant. The concerned officers satisfied themselves by
passing the buck to each other without making any sincere effort to collect and transmit
the requisite information to the Appellant. This is not approved of. Shri Mahabir Singh,
who has recently taken over the charge of Deputy Director(MIG), however, assures that
he may be given some time to enable him to provide requisite information to the
Appellant.
DECISION
4. Shri Mahabir Singh, Deputy Director(MIG), DDA, is hereby directed to provide
para-wise information to the Appellant in four weeks time.
