ORDER
Sh. Bhkshi Gudial Singh, the Appellant, vide his application dated 16.01.2009, sought the
CPF statement of his CPF account No. 10560 w.e.f. 1973 till date from the CPIO, Food
Corporation of India, Zonal Office (N), Noida. The CPIO, Food Corporation of India has
informed the Appellant, in reply to his RTI Application, that CPF slips by FCI are issued for each
year to each employee for verification and they are expected to report discrepancy, if any, in
writing. The Appellant has not pointed out any discrepancy. The CPF slips prior to 198081, were
maintained manually by FCI, HQrs, New Delhi and since the records are more than thirty years old
and reported to be not available at HQrs, they cannot be provided. During the hearing the
Respondent submits that the CPF slips for the period of 198081 to 199495 have already been
provided vide letter dated 30.07.2009 and the CPF slips for 199596 to 200708 have now been
updated and are being provided to the Appellant. The updation of accounts for 200809 onwards is
in progress. The Respondent submits that some delay has been caused in providing the duplicate
CPF slip for 199596 onwards due to operational difficulties, heavy workload and retirement of
concerned staff.
The Respondent are hereby directed to provide the CPF slips for 199596 to 200708 to the
Appellant without further delay and for 200809 onwards on completion of updation of accounts.
With these observations the matter is disposed off accordingly.
