ORDER
Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI application dt.6.7.10 with the PIO, DRM Office, North Central Railway,
Allahabad. He stated that although he was transferred in 1993 from Western Railway, Mumbai to
Allahabad Division his PF Account has not been transferred. He sought further details in respect of
his PF against five points. The PIO replied on 8.9.10 enclosing the information dt.6.9.10 . The
Applicant filed an appeal dt.19.9.10 with the Appellate Authority commenting on the information
provided. The Appellate Authority replied on 19.10.10 providing further clarification and also
informing the Appellant that as soon as the PF Account is received, the Applicant will be intimated
about it. Being aggrieved with the reply, the Applicant filed a second appeal dt.27.12.10 before CIC.
Decision
2. During the hearing, the Appellant complained that the PF account has not yet been transferred from
Mumbai Division. He also stated that he had given the relevant papers to Sr.DFM and wanted to
know why there is a delay in the transfer. The Sr.DFM stated that the papers which the Appellant
claims to have given are at present not traceable. He added that a person has already been deputed
by him to follow up with Mumbai Division on this matter. He assured the Commission that within one
month, the PF account would be transferred and the Appellant informed about the action taken.
3. The Commission holds that available information has already been furnished to the Appellant.
However, it is recommended that the Sr.DFM ensure that the PF account is transferred within one
month as promised by him and the Appellant is informed about the action taken.
4. The appeal is disposed of with the above directions.
