                           J U D G M E N T

Petitioner states that in order to establish a cashew factory,

he acquired necessary land and constructed buildings, in

compliance with all statutory provisions. It is stated that he

made Ext.P9 application to the 1st respondent to number the

building and issue Occupancy Certificate and that due to political

interference the 1st respondent is not taking any action so far by

conducting inspection or otherwise. It is with this grievance, the

writ petition is filed.

2. If an application for numbering the building and

issuing Occupancy Certificate has been received, it is the duty of

the 1st respondent to take necessary action thereon in accordance

with law. In this case, the allegation is that no such action has

been taken by the 1st respondent.

3. In view of the above, I direct the 1st respondent to

take appropriate action on Ext.P9 in accordance with law and as

expeditiously as possible, at any rate within 4 weeks of

WPC.No. 14346/10

production of a copy of this judgment along with a copy of this

writ petition.

Writ petition is disposed of as above.
