Heard Sri Amit Bose, learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned
Standing Counsel and perused the record.
By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for
reinstatement in the service on the post of Constable in Armed Police and
payment of salary and allowances.
It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that by interim order
dated 24.5.1996, this Court had directed the opposite party no. 2, to decide the
representation of the petitioner dated 28.2.1996, by passing a reasoned and
speaking order and communicate the same to the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has no instructions as to what decision was
taken on the representation of the petitioner.
However, learned Standing Counsel submits that by order dated 3.7.1996, the
representation of the petitioner was allowed and he was reinstated in the
service.
In view of above, the writ petition has become infructuous.
The writ petition is accordingly dismissed as infructuous. Interim order, if
any, stands discharged.
