Dated this the 7thday of December, 2009

Heard Sri. Firoz K.M, the learned counsel appearing for the
petitioners and Sri. P.C.Sasidharan, the learned standing counsel
appearing for the University of Calicut.
2. The petitioners appeared for the fourth year B.Pharm
degree examination conducted by the University of Calicut in
August, 2009. The results were published on 10.11.2009. The
petitioners in these writ petitions failed in various papers. They
have therefore applied for revaluation of their answer scripts by
submitting applications dated 10.11.2009. The petitioners submit
that they have completed their course of study, have passed all the
other semester examinations, had done well in the fourth year
B.Pharm degree examination and that if their answer scripts are
revalued they are sure to secure a pass.
3. Sri.P.C.Sasidharan, the learned standing counsel for the
University of Calicut submits that applications for revaluation have
been received from the petitioners and that expeditious steps will be

taken by the University to revalue the petitioners’ answer scripts and
to communicate the result to them. In the light of the said
submission, I dispose of these writ petitions with a direction to the
respondents to take steps to have the petitioners’ answer scripts
revalued and to communicate the result to them expeditiously and in
any event within six weeks from the date on which the petitioners
produce a certified copy of this judgment before the Controller of
Examinations, University of Calicut.
