Heard learned counsel for the petitioner. Nobody

appears for the respondent.

By this writ, the petitioner seeks to challenge the

transfer order, Annex.1 passed on 10.5.2000.

Vide order dated 23.6.2000 the operation of this

order was stayed, which stay is continuing till the date as it

was extended till disposal of the writ petition vide order

dated 19.12.2000 as nobody appeared on the side of the

respondent.

Thus, the transfer, therefore, has remained stayed

for more than 9 years and, therefore, it has lost its

efficacy. It is also informed by learned counsel for the

petitioner that during the interregnum period, various Rules

have been framed/changed prohibiting transfer.

In view of the above, the writ petition is allowed

and the order, Annex.1 is quashed.
