                      J U D G M E N T

The petitioner is working as Conductor (Special Grade)

under the first respondent-Corporation. Mainly it is

complained that the juniors of the petitioner were promoted

overlooking the seniority of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner was granted Leave Without Allowance

for a period of five years from 14/12/1993. This was being

extended and the petitioner rejoined service on 23/02/2005.

It is the case of the petitioner that the promotions which

are objected by him have been made against vacancies that

arose after his rejoining service. Aggrieved by the same,

the petitioner has filed Ext.P6 representation before the

first respondent, which is said to be pending even now.

3. Heard the learned Standing Counsel for the

Corporation. Since the petitioner has raised his claims

before the first respondent, there will be a direction to

the first respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P6

with notice to the petitioner and other affected parties.

Appropriate orders shall be passed after affording all

opportunity to the petitioner and the promotees, within a

period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of

this Judgment. The writ petition is disposed of as above.

No costs.
