FACTS
:
By his RTI application dated 21.6.2008, the appellant had
sought information on 06 paras relating to the affairs of the Labour
Union. The CPIO had responded to him vide letter dated 8.7.2008
asking him to deposit Rs. 36/- to collect the requisite documents
Dissatisfied with this, he has filed the present appeal.
2. The matter was fixed up for hearing on 9.10.2009 but was
adjourned on the request of the appellant.
3. Heard on 20.11.2009. Appellant not present. The public
authority is represented by Shri Ashok Suryavanshi, Assistant.
He is heard. It is noticed that the public authority has not refused to
disclose any information. Perhaps, the stumbling block is the fee of
Rs. 36/- demanded by the public authority.
DECISION
4. In excise of its plenary power, the Commission directs the
CPIO to provide the requisite documents to the appellant in 04 weeks
time, free of cost.
5. The matter is closed.
