SHRI BIKASH CHOWDHURY (ASANSOL): Sir, I would like to draw the attention of the House to a very important matter. About 3,000 workmen of Hindustan Cables Limited, Bharat Opthalmic Gas Limited and Burn Standards Wagon Limited have not received their salaries for the last seven months. Their families are in deplorable and terrible conditions. They are facing a lot of problems.
So, I would request the concerned Minister to expedite the payment of their wages, etc. At the same time, the viability of the Hindustan Cables Limited should be expedited within two or three months so that the production of the Hindustan Cables Limited be started at the earliest.
