ORDER
The present appeal has been filed by the Appellant against the order of the PIO
and FAA of the Respondent Public Authority for denial of the information on point nos.
3 & 6 of his RTI request dated 4.02.2011, in which the Appellant had sought to know the
names of family members of S.I. Rajender Singh, and details of their movable or
immovable property. The CPIO vide reply dated 4.03.2011 had informed the Appellant
that information covering the family members and details of their moveable /
immoveable property cannot be disclosed in view of Section 8(1)(j) of the RTI Act, being
personnel information.
The Commission finds no reason to interfere in the reply of the Respondent since
the information requested is personnel in nature and no larger public interest has been
established for disclosing this information. The decision of the Respondent is upheld.
The matter is disposed of on the part of the Commission.
