Writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to approve 19 students admitted by the petitioner institute in the First Year Diploma in Teacher Education Course for the academic year 2007-2008 in the Lapsed Seat category, intimated to the 2nd respondent on 10.08.07 and consequently approve their admission for continuation of their study.

O R D E R
This writ petition is filed by the petitioner for a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to approve 19 students admitted by the petitioner institute in the First year diploma in Teacher Education Course for the academic year 2007-2008 in the Lapsed Seat category. It is seen that the proposal has been sent by the petitioner institute on 10.08.2007. The said students were admitted between 06.08.2007 and 09.08.2007.
2. Heard the learned counsel on both sides. According to Mrs.Dakshayani Reddy, learned Government Advocate (Education) for the academic year 2007-2008 the last date for admission of lapsed category is 31.07.2007.
3. Considering the fact that the petitioner institute had admitted students between 06.08.2007 to 09.08.2007, it is open to the 2nd respondent to consider the proposal sent by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
