                     W.P.(C)No.1119 of 2010
              ------------------------------------------------
Dated this the 29th day of March, 2010

                              JUDGMENT

The petitioner is an applicant for admission to PG Medical

Course. He has approached this Court stating various

contentions. The main prayer in the writ petition for declaration

that limitation of weightage in marks for the qualifying

examinations for the Post Graduate courses in medicine under

Ext.P4 Prospectus to those who have completed difficult rural

service alone as arbitrary.

2. It is submitted by the learned Government Pleader

that the matter is now covered by an interim order passed by the

Division Bench dated 25/3/2010, after vacating the interim

order. It is made clear therein that while granting weightage in

the general merit quota, those persons who are actually in

service alone shall be given weightage. In other words, those

who have served or are serving under bonded obligation or

those who have served for some time and are not presently in

service for some reason or other, will not be entitled to get

weightage. The said direction will govern this case also.

3. Therefore what remains is the plea for the declaration

of his result as now the result is shown as withheld.

W.P.(C)No.1119 of 2010
2

4. It is submitted by the learned Government Pleader

that the exercise as directed by the Division Bench is expected to

be completed within a short time and along with the same the

petitioner’s result will be announced.

5. There will be a direction to the Commissioner for

Entrance Examinations to publish the results of the petitioner

expeditiously as possible at any rate within a period of ten days

from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
