ORAL
ORDER

The
petitioner by this petition has prayed for the relief to direct the
respondent No.1 to correct the record by entertaining the petition,
whereby the name of the petitioner and name of the father be
entered.

Upon
hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, it appears that as
per the petitioner, the application was accepted and the documents
were demanded vide communication dated 21.03.2007. It is the case
of the petitioner that the documents were provided. However, no
decision is taken. Under these circumstances, the direction cannot
be given to enter the name of the petitioner or father as sought to
be canvassed. However, it will be required for the concerned
authority of respondent No.1 to examine the matter in accordance
with law to take appropriate decision.

Hence,
it is observed and directed that the respondent No.1 shall decide
the application of the petitioner pursuant to the communication
dated 21.03.2007, copy whereof is produced at Annexure-E as early as
possible, preferably within a period of 3 months from the receipt
of the order of this Court. It is also clarified that in the event
the petitioner is aggrieved by the decision which may be taken by
the respondent No.1, the petitioner shall be at the liberty to
challenge the same in accordance with law.

Disposed
of accordingly. D.S.
