ORDER
Shri Santosh Kumar Verma, the Complainant had filed an RTI application dated
9.10.2010 seeking certain information from the PIO. Aggrieved with the reply of the
PIO, he has filed the present complaint before the Commission on 23.11.2010. Prima
facie it appears that the Complainant has not utilized the scope of filing an appeal
before the First Appellate Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi. The
P.I.O is, therefore, directed to forward the complaint along with RTI application of
the Complainant to the First Appellate Authority who is directed to dispose of the
case by considering it as a first appeal within the stipulated period under the RTI
Act, 2005. A copy of the complaint is enclosed herewith. The Complainant is at
liberty to file a second appeal afresh before the Commission if he is not satisfied
with the decision of the First Appellate Authority.
The matter is disposed of accordingly.
