Background
1. The Applicant his RTI Request on 13.07.2009, with the PIO M/o Environment & Forests, New Delhi,
seeking copies of various letters, reports, terms of reference, notices, records, etc. The PIO replied
on 25.08.2009 requesting the Applicant to deposit an amount of Rs. 1616/ for the information. The
First Appeal was filed on 26.10.2009 by the Applicant stating that the payment was made on
03.09.2009 and that information has been received in 3 lots. The last one was on 14.10.2009 and
that information received was incomplete. He provided a list of the missing information. The First
Appellate Authority replied on 06.01.2010 providing the available information and also directing the
CPIO to share the complete file with the Appellant on 16.02.2010.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the hearing for April 19,
2010.
3. Mr. E. Thirunavukkarasu, Deputy Director, Nalini Bhat, Advisor, MEF represented the Public
Authority.
4. The Appellant was not present during the hearing.
Decision
5. The Respondent submitted that the Appellant had inspected the relevant files and was provided with
the copies of documents required by him. Since there is no further complaint after the Appellant had
received the information, the Commission assumes that he is satisfied with it and accordingly
disposes of the appeal.
