Facts
arising from the Complaint:
Mr. Mohd. Aasif Khan filed a RTI application with the PIO & Social Security
Officer, ESIC, Ajmer, Rajasthan on 01/07/2010 asking for certain information. On not
having received the information within the mandated time, the Complainant filed a
complaint under Section 18 of the RTI Act with the Commission. On this basis, the
Commission issued a notice to the PIO & Social Security Officer, ESIC, Ajmer,
Rajasthan on 01/11/2010 with a direction to provide the information to the Complainant
and further sought an explanation for not furnishing the information within the mandated
time.
The Commission has received a letter dated 30/11/2010 from the PIO & Social
Security Officer, ESIC, Ajmer, Rajasthan. Wherein, it has been stated that the requisite
information had been sent to the Complainant through speed post on 27/08/2010 and
again on 12/11/2010, along with all the relevant documents. On perusal of the reply, it
appears that adequate information has been provided to the complainant.
Decision:
The Complaint is disposed off.
The Commission warns the PIO to ensure that information is provided to
applicants within the mandated time as per the provisions of the RTI Act.
Notice of this decision be given free of cost to the parties.
