Title : Need to expedite the completion of All India Institute of Medical Sciences at Sijua, Orissa.
SHRI TATHAGATA SATPATHY (DHENKANAL): Hon’ble Speaker Madam, I would like to bring an issue to the notice of the House that the foundation stone for setting up of All India Institute of Medical Sciences Branch was laid by the Hon’ble former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Jee at Sijua (Orissa). But the work has been hanging fire for more than five years. The poor people of Orissa are being deprived of health care as a result thereof. I, therefore, urge upon the Government for taking initiatives for early completion of work so as to meet healthcare needs of the State.
