Advocate.
The petitioner by means of this writ petition under Article 226 of
Constitution, has prayed for quashing FIR relating to case crime no. 3 of
2010 under sections 498-A, 323,, 342, 504 & 506 IPC read with Section 3/4
of the Dowry Prohibition Act of Police Station Mahila Thana, Hazratganj,
district Lucknow.
We have gone through the contents of the FIR.
The petitioner is the husband of the victim who has received burn injuries as
indicated in the FIR. Since the allegations made in the FIR disclose
commission of cognizable offence as such the same cannot be quashed.
The writ petition is misconceived and is accordingly dismissed.
