                                                              ORDER

Sh. K. S. Sharma, the Appellant, vide his RTI application dated 9.12.2010 has 

requested for information regarding payment of gratuity to one Shri Balbir Singh, TA­I.

During the hearing the Appellant presses for information on point No. 6(i) and (ii) of 

his   RTI   application   in   which   he   requested   for   photo   copy   of   the   computation 

sheet/calculation sheet on which the gratuity amount of Sh. Balbir Singh was finalised 

including the order sheet on which the Authority competent to release it ordered to keep it 

pending for indefinite time and photo copy of letter/note sheet on which the competent 

authority  sought   permission   from   the  controlling   authority   to   keep   the  gratuity   amount 

unpaid by FCI.  During the hearing the Respondent submit that complete information has 

been provided to the Appellant vide letter dated 10.1.2011 by the Manager (Admn.), FCI, 

District Office, Haldwani.  As per this letter the Appellant has been informed that payment 
of gratuity of Shri Balbir Singh is pending because vigilance case was pending against him 

and was not decided and his retirement order has not been received in the Haldwani 

District Office. As soon retirement order of Shri Balbir Singh  is received, the gratuity will 

be released to him.  Moreover Shri Balbir Singh has also been informed with full facts vide 

office letter dated 21.5.20110.

After   hearing   the   parties   and   on   perusal   of   relevant   documents   on   file,   the 

Commission is of the view that requisite information as per record and permissible under 

RTI Act has been provided to the Appellant.

The matter is disposed of accordingly.
