SHRI BASU DEB ACHARIA : After the solemn assurance given by the then Finance Minister that the service conditions would not be changed, the IDBI management has taken a decision not to give parity of wages to the IDBI employees with the employees of RBI. Before it was converted into a commercial bank, the employees used to enjoy the similar facilities as that of the employees of the RBI. Today, they are deprived of their democratic right, the right to form the trade union. They are being asked not to form Association. It is an attack on their democratic right. After converting it into a commercial bank, the management of the IDBI are attacking on their trade union right, the right to form Association, the right to bargain. All these rights are being taken away from them. I urge upon the Government that the assurance which was given on the floor of the House should be… (Interruptions)
