– – – – –
Heard learned counsel for the parties.
In a case of death of child of only seven years,
the total compensation of Rs.2,25,000/- has been
awarded by the learned Tribunal. The Tribunal assessed
the notional income of Rs.15,000/- and applied
multiplier of 15 and awarded Rs.2,25,000/- to the
claimants. The learned Tribunal followed the view taken
by this Court in the judgments referred in the impugned
award itself.
Learned counsel for the appellants submitted that
the deceased was the only son of the claimants and was
a student of a Missonery School and, therefore, he had
a bright future.

S.B. Civil Misc. Appeal No.1310/2008
Smt. Maina Devi & Anr. vs. Jagdish Teli & Anr.
I considered the submissions of learned counsel
for the parties and perused the record as well as the
impugned order.
I do not find any peculiar reason for taking
different view than the view taken on the basis of
structured formula for award of compensation to the
child.
In view of the above reason, this appeal, having
no merits, is hereby dismissed.
