S.P. Singh Vs DDA dated 1.6.2009
This is in continuation of this Commission’s Interim Decision dated 06/05/2009,
vide which, notices were issued to Shri Subhash Chander, Director (Land) and Shri
Ranvir Singh, Deputy Director (Industrial) for the appearance on 01/06/2009. As
scheduled, the matter came up for hearing on 01/06/2009. Shri Ranvir Singh appeared
for DDA. The Appellant is represented by Shri Ajay Kumar Verma, Assistant Director,
Khadi Gramudyog Bhawan and Shri Ram Prakash, Law Officer.
2. Shri Ranvir Singh submits a copy of his written representation which is taken on
record and a copy thereof furnished to the Appellant. It is his submission that Director
(Land) is concerned only with para 5 of the RTI application and that information in
regard to paras 1 to 4 is to be provided by Director(LM)(HQ), i.e., Shri D. Sarkar. Shri
Ranvir Singh is, thus, taking a stand contrary to that of Shri D. Sarkar inasmuch as in the
last hearing, Shri D. Sarkar had submitted before the Commission that Director(Land) is
required to give this information. The contradictory position taken by Director(Land)
and Director(LM) is not understood and calls for resolution.
INTERIM DECISION
3. In view of the above, notices may be issued to Shri Subhash Chander, Director
(Land) and Shri D. Sarkar, Director(LM)(HQ) to personally appear before the
Commission on 26/06/2009 at 10.30 hrs. and also to submit their written submissions two
days before the aforesaid date of hearing.
