Facts

By his letter of 25.3.2008, the complainant had sought information
on 05 paras relating to Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Alipur. The
requisite information was provided through covering letter dated
17.5.2008 of Shri R.P. Bhardwaj. Dissatisfied with the information
provided to him, he has filed the present complaint.

2. The matter was heard on 15.5.2009. The complainant appeared
before the Commission. The public authority is represented by the
officers named above. The complainant has pointed out certain
deficiencies in the information provided to him regarding funds
sanctioned to Tulsi Devi Memorial Society. His another submission is
that District level Best Youth Club award was given to DAV Education
& Welfare Society, even though it has not done any remarkable work. It
is also his submission that information was provided after a gap of two
months and that, too, after the first appeal had been filed.

3. As far as the first point is concerned, Shri Bhardwaj would submit
that he would revisit the matter. As regards the award given to DAV
Education and Welfare Society, it is the submission of Shri Bhardwaj
that the decision was taken on the recommendations of the committee.
Even so, he would further look into the matter. As regards the delay in
providing information, Shri Bhardwaj would submit that this occurred
due to his pre-occupations with other pressing matters and also that the
information sought by the complainant was huge and it took a while to
collect the same.

DECISION

4. Shri R.P. Bhardwaj, Zonal Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangtha,
is hereby directed to provide authentic accounts related information to
the complainant. He is also advised to ensure that response to RTI
applications is made within the statutory time frame in future.

5. The complaint is disposed of subject to the above directions.
