Facts
:
1. Both parties were heard on 8th August, 2008.
2. The complainant, an employee of the respondent, has sought for information
relating to the status of his appeal for expunging adverse entries in his confidential
report. In this context, the CPIO has replied, though the complainant is not satisfied.
In the course of hearing, it also emerged that the complainant has submitted more
than one application on the same, which created certain confusion, as a result of
which the replies given by the CPIO are not acceptable to the complainant.
Decision:
3. In view of the confusion created by the parties in respect of the information
asked for and the reply given, the complainant is advised to reformulate his queries
and submit to the CPIO for a point-wise response. The CPIO should examined the
fresh application for information and provide the information as per the provisions of

the Act. If any information is to be denied, the reasons for doing so should be clearly
given for review by the Commission, if necessary.
4. Since the matter pertain o the complainant’s grievances relating to the service
matters, mainly adverse entries in ACR, he is advised to approach the competent
authority for redressal of his grievances rather than raising such issues under the
RTI Act. The complainant is accordingly advised.
5. The complaint is thus disposed of.
