        The Appellant was not present in spite of notice.

2. In  spite  of  notice,  the Appellant did  not  turn up  for  the  hearing.  The 

Respondents were present in our chamber. We heard their submissions.

3. The Appellant had wanted to know about the action taken on a complaint 

submitted on 20 April 2006 to the Registrar General by Shri KK Tyagi and 25 

other advocates. He had also wanted to know if any other complaint had been

made for removal of a photostat machine from 113, Lawyers Chambers. The 

CPIO had informed him that, as per their records, no such information was 

available  in  the Supreme Court, implying that  the said  complaints  were  not 

available. The Appellate Authority had endorsed the information provided by the 

CPIO.

4. During the hearing, the Respondents submitted that, indeed, the CPIO 

had   searched   all   records   but   did   not   find   any   reference   to   the   complaint 

mentioned   in   the   RTI   application.   In   the   absence   of   the   complaint,   any 

information regarding the action taken does not arise. Since it is being claimed 

that no such complaint could be traced, we cannot give any direction to the 

CPIO to provide any further information.

5. The appeal is disposed off accordingly.

6. Copies of this order be given free of cost to the parties.
