The petitioners were seeking merit promotion to
the next higher post of Reader i.e. Associate Professor. It is
submitted that the Principal, B.S. College, Danapur, Patna has
already made recommendation. The University has to consider
and dispose of the representation of the petitioners, taking into
account the criteria for promotion to the next higher post of
Reader on merit.
A show cause has been filed in which it has been
indicated that the records of petitioner no.1 are not available in
the Promotion Cell. In these circumstances it is incumbent
upon the deponent to call for a report from the Principal, B.S.
College, Danapur and determine whether the petitioner was /
is entitled to the said promotion.
In the circumstances aforesaid I grant four weeks’
time to opposite party no.3 to file a detailed affidavit
regarding the issues raised in the contempt petition.
List this case after four weeks.
