Facts

:­ 

1. Vide RTI request of 5.6.2010, the appellant 

Sh.   R.K.   Garg   sought   information   from   the   CPIO, 

Superintendent   Home­I,   Chandigarh   Administration 

pertaining   to   sanction   orders   for   setting   up   and 

meeting expenditure on Camp Office of Advisor to the 

Administrator,   Home   Secretary,   Finance   Secretary, 

Deputy   Commissioner   and   any   other   officers   of 

Chandigarh Administration and also to provide list of 

officers   eligible   for     furnished   residential 

accommodation  and expenses incurred threreon. 

2. The   CPIO,   vide   letter   dated   29.6.2010, 

denied   disclosure   of   information   under   Section   2(f) 

of  the RTI  Act.   The  appellant   challenged  the above 

order by preferring appeal dated 8.7.2010 before the 
First   Appellate   Authority.     The   matter   was 

adjudicated   upon   vide   FAAO   dated   30.7.2010,   vide 

which   appellant   was   provided   opportunity   of 

inspection. 

3. Being  aggrieved  and  not being  satisfied  by 

the   above   orders,   the   appellant   challenged   then 

before   the   Commission   in   second   appeal.     The   matter 

was heard today.   Both parties were present as above 

and made their submissions.  Appellant stated that he 

was   not   satisfied   with   the   information   provided   to 

him.   He presented two sanction orders, in which the 

Commission’s     attention   was   drawn   to   certain   lacuna 

regarding   the   nomenclature   of   the   Camp/Residence 

Office.     Respondent   agreed   to   re­examine   the 

documents and make suitable corrections.

  Decision  

4.  Respondent   is   directed   to   provide   point­

wise information to the appellant as discussed at the 

hearing within three weeks of receipt of the order.
