ORAL
ORDER

1. The
applicant herein has prayed for an order staying this proceedings of
Special Civil Application No. 8424 of 1997 pending in this Court.

2. It
is pointed out that the applicants herein had approached the Hon’ble
Supreme Court by way of Transfer Petition (Civil) No. 539 of 1998
wherein the following order was passed :

Learned
counsel applies for leave to withdraw the transfer petitions
stating that an application shall be made in the High Court to stay
the proceedings there, pending the disposal of the proceedings in
this Court. The transfer petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

3. In
view of the above the order the present application has been filed.

4. Heard.

On the facts and circumstances of the case the prayer 4(a) is
granted. Rule is made absolute with no order as to costs.

5. It
will be open to either side to file a note before this Court for
taking up the main matter after the proceedings are over before Apex
Court.
