                     W.P.(C) No.22516 of 2010
          -----------------------------------------------------------
Dated this the 18th day of August, 2010

                              JUDGMENT

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the

respondent in convening a timing conference for settling the

timings of the petitioner’s vehicle pursuant to objections

submitted by another operator, in spite of the fact that the

petitioner’s timings had been settled on 18.8.2009. According

to the petitioner, if any of the other operators had any

grievance in respect of the timings issued to the petitioner, he

should have challenged the same before the State Transport

Appellate Tribunal. The action of the respondent in convening

a timing conference is therefore, challenged as being

absolutely without jurisdiction.

2. It is submitted by the learned Senior Government

Pleader that since an interim order was granted in this writ

petition, the timing conference scheduled to be conducted on

22.7.2010 was not conducted. It is further submitted that the

respondent is not proposing to conduct any other timing

wpc No.22516/2010 2

conference for settlement of the timings of the petitioner, as

apprehended in the writ petition.

In view of the above, this writ petition is closed, recording

the above submission.
