Balakrishnan Nair, J.

The petitioner has approached this Court alleging police

harassment. He is the registered owner of a stage carriage, KL-

5L 30. It is having regular permit on the route Kumali-

Konnakkad. Now the term of the permit is over and he is

operating on the strength of temporary permit. His application

for renewal of the permit is pending before the primary authority.

While so, the first respondent is unnecessarily harassing the

petitioner’s crew who are operating the vehicle. The vehicle is

detained and checked unnecessarily.

2. Feeling aggrieved by the said actions of the first

respondent, the petitioner has approached this Court. Learned

Government Pleader upon instructions submitted that some

complaints were received by the first respondent against the

petitioner from bus operators alleging that he is not operating the

vehicle in accordance with the permit granted. Therefore, the

vehicle was checked. It is submitted that a petty case has been

registered against the driver and the conductor for the reason

that they were not keeping in the vehicle the copy of the permit.

Learned Government Pleader also submitted that the police have

no intention whatsoever to harass the petitioner. If there is any

dispute regarding the route, which is being operated by the

petitioner, the same can be resolved without difficulty by

referring to his permit and the time schedule.

In view of the submission of the learned Government

Pleader that the police have no intention to harass the petitioner,

the writ petition is disposed of.
